There are many reasons why us Canadiens are respected around the world. Such as our patriotism, kindness, and genuineness.

We often forget what it means to be Canadian. We have freedom of speech, will, and endless opportunities. We love who we chose, and I feel that this is important in today’s society. Our country legalized Same-Sex marriage over 8 years ago, while some countries are still battling the decision. In doing so, we have the right to speak up for what we believe in and who we want to be.

Canada is known for our diversity. In 2011, census of population counted more than 200 languages spoken at home thoughout our country. We are home to over 35 million people, some of which have dreamed of living here, and had been finally given the chance. I have eight different cultural backgrounds, and our country’s diversity is important to me, because with so many backgrounds, I feel that multiculturalism is what makes Canada so special. We’re always welcoming, with open arms & an open mind for new changes.

Another important thing that we are recognized internationally for, is our manners. We are raised from a young age to say our pleases, our thank you’s, and our excuse me and pardons. We are polite and respectful to those around us. With respect comes acceptance, and we portray that in many ways! Such as, having the freedom to go to your church, or temple, we accept all races and religions.

We are so privileged to live in a country like this, a country that provides free education and healthcare, whether you’re female or male, black or white, old or young, Canada will attend to your needs no matter what. I find this inspiring to become a better person each and every day, because with these morals and goals set, we can achieve anything. The actions of love and kindness that we provide, restore faith in humanity, and with the strength and determination our nation has, we can make a difference one step at a time.

I am beyond grateful to call this beautiful country my home, and will be forever thankful for all that it provides me. I am blessed to live somewhere so special, and serene. I love my country and all that it has to offer.

Go Canada go!🇨🇦

Hello!

imageAs nationals approach, a lot of responsibilities are sneaking up! Such as packing, preparing, shopping, planning, and even emotionally preparing for a busy week.

I’ve been doing appearances around the city, and the support and feedback is awesome! Canada day was a blast meeting local people. And even a family from BC!

My sponsors: Hillberg and Berk, WPCA, TEAM industrial, and many family members and friends.

Excited for MTC & to meet plenty more people.

Hello all!

I’m happy to say that I am Miss Teen Regina 2015, and will be going to Toronto this summer to nationally compete in the Miss Teen Canada pageant. I’d like to thank all of my supporters and sponsors so far, and am very excited to see what the future brings!

I am a grade 10 student, and am involved with many things. I’ve been competitively singing with a multiple national award winning group for nine years. The people that I have been involved with over the years have significantly left an impact on me and am so happy to know such wonderful people. Photography has also been a big part of my life recently, and have taken photos and held shoots for many friends and families. I hope to become even more involved and get my name out in the open.

Fashion has always been something I’ve taken interest in. I love my brands, and am always excited to go shopping. A few of my favourites are Tommy HilfigerCalvin Klein, and Lucky Brand. Fashion has opened my eyes to different ideas, and has helped me to be able to express my own individual style. I also have an excessive amount of shoes, and love my Converse, Nike, Birkenstock, and Kenneth Cole.

My family is very important to me, and I’d like to thank them for all of their phenomenal support throughout the last while. They’re all SO helpful and reassuring in their own individual quirky ways. I come from a large family on both sides, and have relatives scattered across North America, and I love them all very much and am thankful for all that they have done for me!

As for my title, I plan on getting involved with my city as much as possible throughout my year of reign. I will be making multiple appearances, and I’m looking forward to meeting so many more amazing people. I will be posting my upcoming events on here and on my facebook page, so check out the link!

This morning was wonderful because we actually got to sleep in! We also got breakfast delivered to our rooms, which was pancakes. After breakfast we had a long day of rehearsals starting at 10:30am until 3:00pm. We have the opening dance and swim suit dance completed and we ran through the entire show. After rehearsals the makeup and hair team from Motive Cosmetics arrived. I loved how they did my hair and makeup and it was such a fun time!

Next we got our bathing suits and shoes. I love my bathing suit and I can’t wait to wear it after this pageant. Then we had to go get everything ready for the preliminaries.

At the the preliminaries it started off with bathing suit. I very nervous beforehand, but once I went out on the runway I had so much fun! Then I changed into my evening gown and walked the runway again. I loved seeing all the different girls in their gorgeous evening gowns. I think that I did well in preliminaries and I am so exited for finals night!

Today was a great day. We started off the day by going out for breakfast then came back to the hotel to start rehearsals. First we all worked on our swimwear and evening gown walks with Jillian Martin (Miss Teenage Canada 2013) and our chaperone Courtney. They gave us all some wonderful tips and I am already feeling more confident for preliminaries tomorrow night. Next Shawn came in and we started working on our awesome opening number dance.

After rehearsals we all went up to our rooms and got ready to go to the Medieval times for supper. Medieval times was so cool! We all sat down in a big stadium with comfy chairs and tables. In the middle of the stadium there were horses and riders battling. It was a role play of knights and kings in the Medieval times. I was on the red side so I cheered loud for the red Rider and horse who ended up winning! Also at the Medieval Times, they serve you so many amazing meals but, you are not aloud to use utensils. You have to eat everything with only your hands. They gave us some really tasty soup, a chicken leg, some a ribs, some garlic bread, a potato and a really great desert.

After Medieval times, we all got back on the bus and had a small party on the bus singing to the radio. Lastly we got back to our hotels and went to bed.
